Every day we have this amazing opportunity to worship a Holy God. However, instead of worshiping Him we just focus on self and the many things on our “to do” list and push Him aside. I know that I struggle with this idea of worship daily. And it’s not because I do not want to worship God but mostly it is because sometimes the day just zooms pass me and before I know it I am ready to crash my head onto the pillow. Then I realize that I have missed the whole point of my day…to worship Him IN ALL things. Let me explain…

We have this idea in our minds that we must stop all that we are doing, all day long, and worship. Now, do I think that there definitely needs to be those moments in our days, that we use to pause and spend time with Him… absolutely! But we can’t stay in the child’s pose all day. If we did, we would be useless human beings. Where we miss it as Christians is that we think that we can’t worship God IN ALL that we do. We think we have to stop all that we are doing to honor Him.

The bible tells us something completely different in 1 Corinthians 10: 31, “Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do everything for God's glory.” So, whether I am having dinner with my kids, sweeping the floors, bathing the dogs, I can be glorifying God in the process. I can be talking about God with my children, singing worship while I collect dust, or being patient with my rambunctious dog, I mean horse. Furthermore, when we glorify God in all that we do, something amazing happens…there is not a moment in the universe that praise isn’t being lifted up to God. Even when I am asleep He is praised. Think about it…

For example, when I am asleep and there is someone in Germany doing their best at their school work to honor God…God is glorified. When there are 50 teachers in a school and one teacher is glorifying God in the school…God is glorified there. When my husband goes to work and he lifts up the name of Christ and tries to witness to coworkers…God is exalted. There is not a moment in history when someone or something isn’t worshiping God if we all do our part in joining in with the rest of the universe and honoring the name that is above every name—The great I AM!

Psalm 148

1 Hallelujah! Praise the Lord from the heavens; praise Him in the heights. 2 Praise Him, all His angels; praise Him, all His hosts. 3 Praise Him, sun and moon; praise Him, all you shining stars. 4 Praise Him, highest heavens, and you waters above the heavens. 5 Let them praise the name of Yahweh, for He commanded, and they were created. 6 He set them in position forever and ever; He gave an order that will never pass away.

7 Praise the Lord from the earth, all sea monsters and ocean depths, 8 lightning and hail, snow and cloud, powerful wind that executes His command, 9 mountains and all hills, fruit trees and all cedars, 10 wild animals and all cattle, creatures that crawl and flying birds, 11 kings of the earth and all peoples, princes and all judges of the earth, 12 young men as well as young women, old and young together. 13 Let them praise the name of Yahweh, for His name alone is exalted. His majesty covers heaven and earth. 14 He has raised up a horn for His people, resulting in praise to all His godly ones, to the Israelites, the people close to Him. Hallelujah!

See, when we do our part in worshiping Him in all that we do, we get to join in with the rest of the out cries of the universe by raising our voices, time, talents, and treasures to honor the name of the Lord IN ALL of the earth! So, what are you waiting for? Join in! Worship Him in all that you do.

Love,

Tiffany
