Thanks to You!

All I can say is WOW!!! I never thought that I would have a book in hand and that it would take me to so many places in just three short months. I wanted to shout out a HUGE THANKS to everyone who made this summer so fulfilling and so much fun! Running Mascara and I have been able to do book signings in three different cities, six different businesses, have made friends with so many people, and have had a blast!!! I can't thank all of you enough for making this summer one of the best summers of my life! Check out a glimpse of it below:

MAY:

Our journey started at Chick-fil-a on Peach Orchard Road in Augusta, GA. I was so nervous because it was the first time that I put Running Mascara out there to sell with me right behind it.

Just a few short weeks later we made our way downtown in Augusta, Georgia, at a locally owned store called The Book Tavern. The weather was beautiful and oddly enough downtown was kind of a ghost town that day, but in spite of that I loved it because it continued to help me get my feet wet in this publishing journey.

The next book signing was kind of like a dream. I got to be at Barnes and Noble in Augusta, Georgia. I NEVER, I mean NEVER thought I would EVER be at Barnes and Noble selling a book. I was so thankful they were so willing to help out a beginner like me! The whole day I felt like, "somebody should pinch me!" We sold 22 books that day! I was blown away!!! Dolche Darlin', a locally owned cup cake business, came to support me and gave away free cupcakes! Their delicious cup cakes drew in a major crowd!

JUNE:

Towards the end of June I got to go to one of my dad's favorite locations on the planet. I got to take Running Mascara to the River Pointe Golf Club, in Albany, Georgia. The owners there let me come to their Thursday night dinner. They were serving fried chicken and all of the fixins'. The dinner was fantastic and drew in 100 people. I got to meet so many new people that day! This particular book signing remains very close to my heart!

July:

My July journey started at Crestview Baptist Church in Augusta, Georgia. Running Mascara and I did our best to raise money for a family whose son was in desperate need for money for medical expenses. With all of the vendors that were available, we raised $400 between all of us for the family and their emergent trip to Boston! To God be the glory!!!

In July I was also able to go to the place I will always consider home, St. Marys, Georgia. My friend Anna Schaeffer, author of All of This, was able to join me and we had an unforgettable time! We went to Lighthouse Christian Broadcasting, WECC FM 89.3 (www.thelighthousefm.org). I started working there when I was in just tenth grade. I was an on-air minister, youth worker for the Rock Bible Study, and helped plan events. I had a great time going back! Anna and I got to speak at the women's Bible study held at the station every Monday evening, we got to be on air with Vickie Hafer to talk about our books, and we also got to talk to the youth at the Rock Bible Study (which is held at the station every Tuesday and on air live for the world to hear). Anna and I left this trip with our hearts overflowing with joy! (http://www.annaschaeffer.wordpress.com/)

Thanks to everyone who made this summer possible! I am so thankful that all of you are in my life! I would not be here today if it wasn't for all of you! Also, thank you to Xulon Press (www.xulonpress.com)! I would not have a book in hand if it wasn't for you!

I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE WHERE GOD HAS RUNNING MASCARA AND I GOING NEXT!!!

Love,

Tiffany
